My Journey: From Code to Start-Up
From my early years as a Civil Engineer in Computer Science, I’ve always felt a constant curiosity: How can we improve processes, experiences, and results through technology?
That question became the driving force behind a professional career spanning more than two decades, multiple industries, and countless tools and programming languages.
My journey began as a systems analyst, writing lines of code in Visual Basic and ASP to optimize internal systems at SQM. Since then, I’ve worked for renowned companies such as CARDIF, ENAP, DELOITTE, ENTEL, METLIFE, SUDAMERICANA DE VAPORES, SMU, RED SALUD UC, SERNAGEOMIN, BANCO BBVA, and WALMART — each one presenting new challenges and opportunities to innovate. Through all those years, I never stopped learning, adapting, and exploring new technologies.
Mastering Angular, React, TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, Express, Next, Python, and databases like Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, and HANA DB was only the beginning. Over time, I incorporated advanced enterprise tools such as SAP HANA, Amazon AWS, SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP Integration Suite (IS), and BPM systems like AuraPortal, Bizagi, and Camunda.
This ability to adapt and continuously learn allowed me to lead complex projects from the ground up, optimize critical systems, and deliver real, sustainable solutions.
But it hasn’t all been about code. I realized that to create true impact, I needed to go beyond the technical side. That’s why I pursued an MBA at the Business School of the European University of Madrid, where I developed a more strategic vision — focused on management, innovation, and most importantly, the client. I learned that behind every project there are people, needs, and dreams that deserve to be heard.
My entrepreneurial spirit led me to create hirofuse — a space where all those learnings converge. hirofuse is not just a tech development company; it’s the result of years of experience, lessons learned, and a clear vision of how technology should serve people. It’s about seeing every tool as a means, not an end — and embracing adaptability as the greatest superpower in a world that never stops changing.
Today, at hirofuse, we work with the same passion that drove me to write my first line of code — but with a broader vision: that of the consultant, strategist, entrepreneur, and, above all, the eternal learner.
